Smoked Heritage Ham

The ham made we want to strip naked and run through a fountain of mimosa!! SO GOOD!

We ordered a half ham for Easter Brunch. The smokey flavor, the texture, nothing better. We went with the basic “heat up in the crockpot” method. Added just a bit of water and allowed it to heat up in its own juices. We paired it with cheesy potatoes, egg bake, corn bake, fresh cut fruit, and dinner rolls. We will never go back to a basic ham from a grocery store again! The convenience of ordering online, delivered while still frozen, and packaged so beautifully. We loved the personalized thank you card from Fertile Acres. A very nice touch!

This was our first time hosting a holiday and simply put, this is the best Ham I’ve ever tasted. It arrived still frozen and after thawing for two days in the fridge we coupled it with Brandon’s Glazed Smoked Ham recipe. The juicy and smoky inside combined with the sugary and sweet glaze on the outside made it a hit for everyone! It will be hard to eat anyone else’s ham after this experience. And bonus, there was plenty leftover for ham and eggs the next morning! My only regret is that I didn’t take photos of this absolute beauty!! Run, don’t walk, and try this for your next big dinner!

Wonderful ham -delicious! Besides the awesome smoky flavor, love that the pigs are from a family farm and raised in pastures and on “beer”. Appreciate The Meatery and Fertile Acre Farms collaboration to benefit us as consumers! Thank you!

We're not a young couple any more and being raised in Iowa, our family has eaten Many hams in our lives! But hands down this is the Absolute Best ham we've ever eaten! So flavorful and so tender! Never knew ham could almost melt in your mouth! We'd give this ham 10 stars if we could! Simple to prep/cook, too. Absolutely recommend!
